Food Not Bombs is a loose-knit group of independent collectives, serving free vegan and vegetarian food to others. Food Not Bombs' ideology is that myriad corporate and government priorities are skewed to allow hunger to persist in the midst of abundance. To demonstrate this (and to reduce costs), a large amount of the food served by the group is surplus food from grocery stores, bakeries and markets that would otherwise go to waste. This group exhibits a form of franchise activism.

Hoy can you check for rat poison in dumpstered food?
Q. My friends and I have recently taken to dumpstering food for our Food not Bombs. I am concerned that it may contain rat poison and could be a major health risk. Is there a way of checking food for rat poison? Perhaps I should clarify. A Food not Bombs serves free food for the community. Kind of like a soup kitchen only since most of the food is dumpstered soup is off the menu.

A. That makes no sense considering John McCain is yelling "Bomb Bomb Bomb iran!" Your an idiot to think that we are safer being at perpetual war with 3 different middle eastern countries at the same time. We won the cold war by talking to russia not bombing them. We got North Korea to stop by talking not attacking them. What makes you think that bombing Iran and skipping all means of diplomacy would make us safer? If Bush and Cheney were in charge in the 80's, we would either cease to exist or be living like cavemen right now...
