How to start Charitable trust to help poors and disabled?
Q. I would like to start a small charitable trust in future to help poor and disabled. What is the rules in our country? From where(which website) i can get information regarding these laws and guideline in India. Anbody can help me?

A. try to make a good and a big 10 to 15 members a community take a site or rent house try to help the the poor by teaching giving food and clothing in that house

How can I establish a charitable organization in the state of Florida?
Q. My late mother who died in 2001 (I was 18 yrs old high school senior at the time) along with my father taught me to serve my community and to try to help those in need. I am also inspired by the Social Gospel movement. How can I establish a charitable foundation to help children, elderly, and the poor around North Central Florida (possibly spread out later to other geographic areas)? Please give me your insight as I feel this will finally find me the happiness and peace that I have lost when my mother died. Thank you for your sincerity and help. :)

A. For info on forming a FL nonprofit go to www.dos.state.fl.us and click on corporations. May I suggest however that you consider working with an established non profit that does some of the things you want to do to help to gain practical experience. That will make you stronger as you start your organization and give you some immediate oportunitioes to make a difference. If you want something people can donate to and have it tax deductible you need federal nonprofit status from IRS as well. It's called 501 c 3 status. What charitable organization/cause should a business donate $25 per sale to?
Q. A local business would like to contribute $25 per sale to a charitable organization. This would generate approximately $8,000 per month of donations and at the end of the year they would probably donate an additional lump sum contribution. They would prefer the funds to go to their community (Dade, Broward, Palm Beach Counties, Florida) but all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

A. The business should look for a tie in to what they do and look for needs within the community. For example a children's shop should consider charities that serve sick or homless or special needs children, a pet center should consider finding a no kill shelter or funding a program to provide veternary care for animals whose owners are not able to afford it or a free spay neuter program, a food related business should help the food bank or a local food pantry, anything home related should consider funding homeless shelters, the school homeless program, or a home reestablishment program.
