Usage notes
- The word aircraft is a countable noun, but with the same plural form as singular; hence "one aircraft", "two aircraft", etc.
- vehicles that fly ballistically, propelled solely by rockets, are not usually referred to as aircraft, unlike rocket planes
- An aircraft with a propulsion system is also termed airplane/aeroplane.
