Name the most powerful woman on politics or business or philanthropy that you know and explain why.?
Q. I am interested in learning about most influential and powerful women that we know of and heared of. Please exclude mum's aunt's grandma's and sisters, those are already powerful enough in our lives. Examples can be German Chancellor, Phillipino President, Marie Curie, and sorts, so just give a name and why you think that person is powerful. Best answer...10points!

A. Has to be Rachel Carson. Her book, Silent Spring, was instrumental in getting the United States (which is often behind - as far as leading nations - in this type of legislation) to ban certain pesticides. Wikipedia mentions that she "was an American marine biologist and nature writer whose landmark book, Silent Spring, is often credited with having launched the global environmental movement. "
